Japanese Bento Box Meal!

A friend recommended me to go to a Japanese bento restaurant today called Mount Fuji. I've never been but I've walked past the restaurant a few times before. Sometimes it can be packed but when I went there were only a few customers. We got there around 2pm so that we could have a light lunch Bento box.

Light Lunch Bento Box
Sakana no Ankake...
We both ordered "Sakana no Ankake" (Cod fillet bento); cod fish fillets prepared Japanese style with onions, carrots, peppers an shittake mushrooms with a Mount fuji sweet and sour sauce. It comes with Japanese sticky rice, potatoes, salad, pickles and a small slice of pineapple and orange.

It had a lid but the waitress lifted it up to serve it to me.
-The sticky rice was fluffy and slightly sticky hence the name lol.
-The pickles were sour in contrast to the sweetness of the potatoes.
-The fish fillets had a white thin japanese batter which gives it a slight crunch, and soft inside.
-The salad had lettuce, radish, cucumber and spinach? It had a dressing like a vinegarette.
-To finish off, a slice of pineapple and orange for dessert.

Was it worth the price?
- The price was pricey... on the website it said £6.35 but at the restaurant it was £7.85. Some may say the portion is very small, but this filled me up good; mainly because of the rice. To prove that, I didn't eat anything that day except for this meal.

Side Orders
Egg Sushi, Salad Sushi Roll and Green Tea...

This was served with wasabi, japanese pickled ginger and soy sauce.
-The egg was REALLY juicy and sweet. When I bit into it, the sweet syrup was juicing out of it.
-The salad sushi was just cucumber, lettuce, Nori and rice rolled in sesame seeds.
-The green tea had a nice aroma...

Was it worth the price?
- No, I don't think so. Egg sushi and salad sushi together is around £6, Green tea was £1.80.

Salmon Sushi...

It's served with wasabi and japanese pickled ginger.
-Really nice though, Salmon was fresh and smooth.

Was it worth the price?
I expected more than this... £3.65 for this??? :( I thought i'd get at least 3... -.-
All together it costed just less than £30. We don't eat out much so it's a fair price to pay for a good meal once in a while.

Overall, I had a great time catching up with my friend ^-^ Spent a hour eating lol. I did enjoy the meal, and it filled me up for the whole day. I recommend this restaurant to those who like to have small portion meals or having a tea break.
